Week 18
It's a few days late. So far so good. I'm maintaining where I've been the last few weeks. Occasional nausea and needing more sleep. I'm liking the 2nd trimester so much more. I got a lot done this past weekend around the house so I guess you can say I'm having more energy. The big news for this past week was obviously finding out it's a girl! I'll share our top name choice. It is subject to change but I don't think it's going to. We had the first name picked out before we even got pregnant. Lillian Renee. Middle name might change. So far that's our favorite. I wanted to use Opal as we both have a grandma named Opal, but DH didn't like how that sounded, Lillian Opal. I really wanted to use a family name as the middle name but we couldn't find anything we liked in our families. We are going to call her Lily for short. But Shhhhhh! we aren't telling anyone else the name. Not even family. So it's a secret.
Instead of a bump picture this week, I have a picture of Baby Lily. I took a picture of the ultrasound print out with my phone so it's not the greatest. And I have no idea why tinypic.com keeps giving me a double image.

OMG! If we have a girl, our first pick is Liliana, or Lili for short! My sister's name is Liana and she was named after a distant cousin of my mom's from Italy and her name is Liliana. We just love that name.
So if I have a girl we will both have a Lily, just spelled differently and different full names. I can't believe it. However, like Alyssa said it is a some what common name now-a-days.

I won't borrow it. But I love how there are so many different variations on the name. I have to admit, I got Lily from How I Met Your Mother. I love it when Marshall calls Lily his Lilypad. I have noticed that it's a common name but it's not in the top 20. At least I don't think it is. Somebody I used to go to high school with named her daughter Lilli. I think it's super cute.
We picked Lillian because it was old fashioned. We like the old fashioned names. Our second pick is a tie between Evelyn and Victoria. Luckily we aren't having twins. LOL.
Amity, I think she is sucking her thumb. She had her hands in her face during most of the ultrasound. She did move them away a bit. I was watching the DVD they gave us. It's only got 5 minutes of video but it's so precious. you can definitely tell she's sucking her thumb in the video.
This just made me laugh!!!!!! I LOVE Lily in How I Met Your Mother! Could you imagine your daughter being called Lilypad??!!
